Simon Magus, a New Testament magician, has questioned Christ’s honesty.  He has suggested that Christ’s declarations of being the son of God are false, and the miracles He has performed, merely magic tricks.  His life takes a turn, as he is challenged to face his own conscience and confront his life, symbolized by youth in the lower right background, and death, represented by the skull in the left background.
